VOLUNTEERING - AS NEEDED

Volunteer with Jengo

Jengo is run entirely by volunteers. Some help from Copenhagen, others join us in the field in Longido District, northern Tanzania, where they support our local partners and the women's network.

What volunteers do

Volunteers in the field help our local partners plan and facilitate workshops, collect data and share knowledge. We work alongside the communities - the ideas and decisions stay with them.

Field trips

How long

Usually 4-10 days, depending on your availability.

Getting there

Fly to Arusha (Tanzania) or Nairobi (Kenya). Longido is close to Arusha, which makes a good base.

Where to stay

You can stay at the Kili View Maasai Lodge in Longido, owned by the Maasai women.

What it costs

Volunteers pay their own travel and living costs.

Before or after

Many volunteers combine the trip with a safari, Mount Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar.
